Kilimanjaro

This year adding to my “I Did It” project, I intend to summit Mount Kilimanjaro on my wheelchair, again with no modifications, there are some that have done it but with very elaborate wheelchairs, again I plan to walk out of my door with my every day chair, tackling one obstacle at a time. Like we all do, documenting this wonderful experience that has been on my mind for a very long time.To show that " The only obstacles in life are the ones we put in front of ourselves” Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world The summit on Mount Kilimanjaro is called Uhuru Peak and stands at 5,895m or 19,341 feet. To put this in perspective, Mount Everest, stands at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) – just over 2,950 meters higher. Based on research from a number of reliable sources, is estimated between 3-7 deaths a year.
